A little history about The Historic Ute Inn
The Historic Ute Inn building was built in 1938 with the bar established in 1942, making it the oldest bar in Woodland Park. It has been the home to many colorful characters throughout the old west days. Stories abound about the wild times that were had after a hard day of ranching, mining, or just plain riding. The bar has survived throughout the early years by serving cold beer with gambling in the ‘back room’, unless a government man happened to come by. (Rumor has it that several were never ever heard from again!) Since then, the bar side has seen everything from horses to motorcycles come thru the front door and their riders belly up to the bar for an ice cold brew. The restaurant has served great grub for many years to area residents and hungry travelers, including a few famous hombres from time to time. We hope you enjoy our authentic rustic atmosphere and great home style cooking. If there is anything we can do to make your stay better, just ask. We’re here to serve YOU!
